MakeShift is a forty-minute collaborative performance piece that uses modern dance, video footage from a 2008 site-specific improvisation on the docks of a Vermont lake, and improvised live sound. The work is an attempt to explore and recreate a rural environment inside an urban one. By staging the performance throughout the space, Segar and Tenenbaum will ask the audience to consider how shifting landscapes affect the body. The performance is followed by a Q&A and reception.
