Work is going well on "Reves," a collaboration with Rebeca Medina and Carolina Van Eps. Three weeks is such a short time to facilitate process into product, but we are beginning to see the work emerge. I have done short collaborations like this before (one with Hannah Verrill last year in Chicago), so I am familiar with "churning it out." My question for myself is now becoming, how can I push myself to ask real questions in this work (in a short period of time) and still come out with a product? Rebeca and Carolina are prolific and our working process is very generative. I realize much of my own creative work involves a long period of sifting and straining content, re-arranging, and re-composing from original context. I am trying to find the thread from this rigorous "independent" compositional work to an exchangeable medium that can help facilitate a group process...
Will keep you updated.
